Once again there were successes on the field during the past season.
Our Bantam Teamtravelled to tournements in New Jersey and Pennsylvania
while winning the New York Baseball Federation's Bantam City Championship.
The Grasshopper Teams played in New Jersey and Pennsylvania tournaments.
Our Freshmen Teams participated in tournaments throughout the country
such as in Connecticut, Cooperstown, NY, Myrtle Beach, SC, Rehobth
Beach, Delaware and Las Vegas, Nevada. Both in the Bantam and Freshman
Divisions, our teams played against our Las Vegas Cadet Teams. More
importantly, our players were instructed and led by managers and
coaches who are considered the finest in amateur baseball.
In 2002, through the generosity of our players, alumni and friends,
our Alumni Association honor the following athletes: Michael Errichiello
(Dan HIll Award), Thomas DiPietro (Jim McElroy Award), Christopher
Reilly (George V. Russano Award), Thomas Uzzo (Mitch Klein Award),
John Allen (Jim Alexander/Joseph LaLima Award), Jarred LoCasto (S.I.B.O.
Award) and Joseph Fox (W.T.C. Award). The Patrick Russell Student-Athlete
Award, sponsored in memory of Patrick by his friends and teammates
was awarded to Felix Nieves and the Jay Byrnes Studen-Athlete Award,
given by his family, was presented to Paul Militello. The Kenneth
Handler Memorial Student-Athlete Award was instituted in 2001 by
his family and friends and the award went to Sal Candella. The following
Cadets Student-Athletes received New York City Baseball Scholarships:

Also, the Roberts Family in memory of their son Michael, a former
